Episode 214: A Very Bitcoin Christmas

Merry Christmas! Welcome to Episode 214 of The Traders Podcast. Your host Rob Booker and his producer, Jason Pyles, recorded this show on Christmas Eve, and we hope you’ll find it to be an enjoyable stocking-stuffer. For this show, Rob and Jason delve into the mysterious world of bitcoin digital currency. Inevitably, they also briefly talk about the Deep Web and The Silk Road. Rob and Jason also discuss whether it would be wise to get in on some of this bitcoin action… And naturally, there’s discussion about how “Matrix-like” bitcoin is — and whether a government could ever track it well enough to tax it.

Will bitcoin or gold (or something else) be the answer when the end-of-the-world apocalypse comes? Rob also talks about why you should consider purchasing some land in Montana, whether social media has an value on a long-term basis, and some other things. All of these wacky topics and many more are waiting for you in this special, 40-minute Christmas episode of The Traders Podcast. Thanks for listening. Merry Christmas!

Here is a bitcoin chart, as promised: Bitcoin Chart

  1. Neal Gilbert says:

One of the funniest things about Bitcoin is that the site that most people reference when talking about the price is MT. GOX. The reason that’s funny is that MT. GOX is actually an acronym for Magic The Gathering Online eXchange. That’s right, everyone’s favorite Bitcoin exchange was originally created so the Dungeons and Dragons set could exchange their Magic the Gathering cards. The nerds shall inherit the earth!
