The fact that Rob lost his pants and that he views himself as a monkey are just two interesting aspects of this episode — but not the only interesting portions … there are a lot of notable gems in Episode 153 of The Traders Podcast.
We have a feeling that this particular episode will provoke some response, so please leave us a comment below or e-mail us at Producer@TradersPodcast.com.
Also during this show, Rob mentions that he will soon be trading an account together with Mr. Jared Johnson of Day Traders FX.com — all for charity. These two are going to hold a special Webinar and more details will be forthcoming in future episodes.
But the “meat” of Episode 153 is Rob’s discussion of having a burning desire to do what you want. Rob also talks about how too much planning can lead to disastrous results, and he makes a distinction between actual planning and mere wishing. He discusses how “clarity is power” — and much more during this memorable episode. Listen!

The content of this episode if written into a book could make it into a best seller. There was so much to think about, I feel inadequate even trying to comment after one listening. Gaining that clarity of mind and accepting the risk of failure may for many of us only be achievable by failing badly in the first place and pulling ourselves out of it with the desire you mentioned. Keep pod-casting boys, it seems to get better and better.
We are, when we will it, masters of our own fate.

INVICTUS by William Ernest Henley
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Great stuff Rob and Jason. Keep it up
Rob,
thank you.
Jason,
thank you.
Another great episode guys. The part about letting people down (in one way or another) is so important to consider and accept. When we put others in front of ourselves all the time, we always end up at the back of the bus. If we’re always at the back of the bus, we can’t drive it where we need it to go. This has been something I realize has been quite a hindrance to me my whole life. The takeaway though, is that the people we tend to put in front of ourselves, usually don’t mind taking the back seat for a bit and watching us sour! And if they do, well… they can always get off the bus.
It would be nice to be able to purchase all your podcasts as a one off download. With that, I could listen and re-listen wherever I am, without the tiresome ‘log in’. Would that be possible? (I have subscribed via itunes).
By the way, many thanks for your podcast, hearing how other day traders are doing it, hearing Rob’s holistic approach and hearing the serious balanced with lots of humor, makes your program very rich and very enjoyable.
Thank you
