Welcome to The Traders Podcast Episode 645. Today Rob is talking about the benefits of being assertive as a trader. First of all, here’s a huge shout out to those of you who got a spot in Rob’s new trading program. Welcome!

So this is what being assertive as a trader looks like:

1. Keep a small position size and cut it off when it’s a loser. This is a complete trading strategy all by itself. This is all you need to do forever. It hearkens back to a great book Bill Walsh wrote called The Score Takes Care of Itself. Check it out.

2. Grow up and take some pride in your trading as if your family’s reputation was tied to your trading results. Definitely read the book by David Maraniss about Vince Lombardi. He ran a team with a culture of pride. It matters who we are and what we represent. How we conduct ourselves matters. Also read Extreme Leadership by Jocko Willink to make sure that you’re passionate enough about your life to be awesome at what you do.
